Weather from down south was heading from Florida and coming faster than ever before. In very late May 2011, tornadoes were being spawned in more than half of the United States. One EF-5 tornado hit Joplin, Missouri. And another one hit California. But it was yet to hit Pennsylvania. Early on May 28, a tornado warning was put out for Tioga County, Pennsylvania. A tornado touched down at Island park in Blossburg PA. 26 people were injured and 2 miraculously survived a tree falling down on their car. Another storm spawned a tornado outside of Whitneyville. It headed for Tioga but hit Knoxville instead. People were left without power for at least a week. It is confirmed the worst tornado outbreak in Pennsylvania history.
